Live from Giens — CSMA awards II

The CSMA’s biannual conference (https://csma2026.sciencesconf.org) is coming to a close… Yesterday we celebrated the winners of the 2025 thesis awards, the exceptional Victor Matray (Laboratoire de Mécanique Paris-Saclay, Université Paris-Saclay/CentraleSupélec/École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay/CNRS & Safran Tech; Title: « Physics in neurons: enhancing data models with physics ») & Suljo Ljukovac (Université de Technologie de Compiègne & University of Sarajevo; Title: « Formulation and finite element solution of control problem of wind-turbines with flexible blades accounting for inelastic dissipation »)!

We also celebrated the winner of the poster award, Élise Foulatier (Laboratoire de Mécanique Paris-Saclay, Université Paris-Saclay/CentraleSupélec/École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay/CNRS; Title: « Model coupling for solving strongly coupled nonlinear thermo-poroelastic problems »)!

Congratulations to all three of you from the whole community!

Last thing: it was announced during the conference banquet that the next edition of the conference, CSMA 2028, will be organized by INSA-Lyon, with Thomas Elguedj as President of the organizing committee, and Nicolas Moës (Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium) as President of the Scientific committee—many thanks and good luck to them!!
