Toutefois, pour certains proc\u00e9d\u00e9s comme le laminage ou le filage, la d\u00e9formation est impos\u00e9e de mani\u00e8re tr\u00e8s locale et progressive par un grand nombre d\u2019op\u00e9rations, de sorte que les calculs incr\u00e9mentaux s\u2019av\u00e8rent beaucoup trop longs pour une utilisation industrielle.
